『花に蝶』
牡丹、桜、梅、撫子など四季折々の花々が咲き誇る中、蝶が優雅に飛び回っています。蝶は、卵、幼虫、さなぎの期間を経て美しく成長するから、女性の人生に重ねて、柄としても好まれました。また、長寿、不死不滅、立身出世の象徴として、武士にも好まれたそうです。柄の美しさもさることながら、込められた思いが素敵です。

『flowers and butterflies』
Butterflies are gracefully flitting about amidst the seasonal flowers of peonies, cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, and petals. Butterflies grow beautifully through the stages of egg, larva, and chrysalis, and were therefore favored as a pattern to symbolize a woman's life. Butterflies were also favored by warriors as a symbol of longevity, immortality, and success in life. The beauty of the pattern as well as the thought that went into it is wonderful.
