『Strip of paper』
Tanzaku (striped paper) pattern with gilding on dark blue ground. The Tanzaku pattern is a pattern made from long and thin pieces of colored paper on which Japanese poems, haiku and pictures are written. These strips of paper are decorated with many festive patterns, such as the tortoiseshell and cloisonne patterns. It is an elegant piece with calm colors.
